Rooted due west of Boston in Acton, Ma, the musical styles of Evan Shaw reflect a melting pot of genres from blues to reggae with sparks of country and folk. Evan has never been content with staying in just one stylistic corner as his influences are taken from all corners of the world. Laden with layered melodies and harmonies, Evan has developed a style for his songs that echoes the bluesy runs of John Lee Hooker and even Robert Johnson, with occasional nods to Robert Plant and Stephen Stills, and the open tuning styles of Bert Jansch and John Renbourn. Evan is a creator of his own sound, one that he intends to cultivate all of his life.
